Every asset, properly catalogued.

Your curators register pictures, videos and documents once, with everything a museum needs to know about them, and find any of them again in seconds.

  • Reference numbers, a tree of categories, tags and free metadata.
  • Files attached to each asset, kept safely in cloud storage.
  • Transcriptions of documents, in as many languages as you need.
  • Owners, copyright holders and licenses recorded for every asset.
  • An advanced search across all of it.

Exhibitions

Curate, schedule, open the doors.

Collections are your exhibitions. Curators choose their works, their cover and their order, and decide when each one goes on display.

  • Draft in private, then publish when the room is ready.
  • Display periods for temporary exhibitions: they open and close on their own.
  • Put the collections in the order visitors find them.
  • Removals go through an admin's approval, so nothing disappears by accident.

Your museum lives on your own domain, not on ours. Your visitors type your address, your links and search results point to you, and the museum moves wherever you do.

Your content, your control

The collection is yours. So is every decision about it.

Musem keeps your works; it never claims them. Everything your curators put into the museum belongs to your institution, and only your people decide what happens to it.

You own it

Every asset, file, description and transcription is your institution's. Ask for your content at any time and you get all of it.

You decide who sees it

Your admins invite your people and give them their roles. Your curators choose what goes on display, for whom and for how long.

Rights recorded, not assumed

Owners, copyright holders and licenses are kept with every asset, and nothing is removed without an admin's approval.

Backed up and maintained

We look after the building, so you can look after the collection.

Your museum is backed up, updated and watched over for you. No servers to run, no upgrades to plan.

Automatic backups

The museum's records are backed up automatically and can be restored to any moment within the retention period you choose, with optional copies in a second region.

Maintained for you

Security updates and new versions are rolled out by us. Each is a named release, checked on your museum as soon as it goes live, and can be rolled back.

Watched over

Health checks and monitoring on Microsoft Azure, with the app reaching its database, files and secrets through its own managed identity rather than stored passwords.

Privacy included

Terms, privacy and cookie policies, a cookie choice for every visitor, and accounts that people can delete themselves.
